1. Systems Analyst
A systems analyst supports an organization’s computer users with the software packages that they use. It is one of the most creative hospitality jobs. Systems analysts are frequently required by establishments like hotels and resorts
The role involves things like overseeing the installation of software, taking steps to enhance both software and hardware and performing maintenance of software application systems.

Another position often required by hotels and resorts is that of a PC support technician.

3. AV Technician
Resorts, hotels, casinos, and even some restaurants require AV technicians. Basically, any venue that holds events or conferences or puts on entertainment will need AV technicians.
In this position, you would handle things like lighting, projectors, mixers, videos, sound systems, and laptops and PCs.
Tasks would involve wiring, patching, and programming the AV equipment and troubleshooting when problems arise.
To work as an AV technician, you only need a high school diploma, but you will also need to have superb technical knowledge and experience in working with AV equipment.
4. Data Engineer
Hospitality businesses that rely on websites for clients to make connections and develop strategies for creating profitable opportunities as part of a sharing economy require data engineers to build and manage websites, data services, and web applications.
To work as a data engineer, you will need to have full knowledge of common programming languages like Python and SQL as well as cloud platforms and data structures.
If you want to become a data engineer, you will need a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software or computer engineering, statistics, applied math, or another related field.

Maintaining a high level of IT security is vital for any business in the hospitality industry, especially for casinos. There is a high demand for IT security administrators at casinos as well as other businesses in various hospitality sectors.
In this role, you would do complex tasks like maintaining and deactivating user accounts, performing system audits, and ensuring security compliance. To become an IT security administrator, you will need excellent knowledge of software and systems, such as MMS, LMS, Kronos, and Infinium.
You will also need to possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Plus, you will be able to get a job as an IT security administrator more easily if you have a certification like CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
