Pastry and Chocolate Short Course Overview and Structure

The course is covered in 3 terms of 11 weeks each.

Students who enrol and complete at least 2 consecutive terms qualify for a paid full-time internship in Switzerland or abroad and can expect to get paid CHF 2200 or more per month in Switzerland.

Term one of 11 weeks is all about the foundation in pastry and baking. Artisan Bakery and Traditional Swiss and European Pastry making are the highlights of this first term.

If as a candidate you would like to exit after studying this term, you still get a certificate in Pastry and Baking.

Term 2 of similar duration is all about European Gourmet Pastry and Chocolate. Some of the advanced techniques and trends are covered with a focus on modern desserts.

An exit at the end of term 2 still leaves students with a Diploma in Pastry & Chocolate Arts.

There is an option to take a break here to do a paid internship of 4-6 months in Switzerland or abroad.

Term 3 of 11 weeks pushes you to make a master of Pastry and Chocolate.

Key areas covered in this term are “Innovative Showroom Excellence and “From Idea to Masterpiece”. The prized Grand Diploma is awarded at the successful completion of all three terms.
