There are two options for a Master’s Degree in hotel management at SHMS.
One is at Caux Campus and the other one is at the Leysin Campus.
A paid internship is an integral part of all the courses at SHMS. Master’s Degrees are provided by the hotel school in collaboration with the University of Derby, United Kingdom.
Course Structure
There are two options for a Swiss Master Degree from the Swiss Hotel Management School, Switzerland.
Option 1– Master of International Business in Hotel, Resort and Wellness Management
Option 2– Master of Arts in International Business in Hotel Management
Semester 1
Master of Arts in International Business in Hotel Management
This is carried out at the Caux Campus and the degree is awarded by the University of Derby, the UK in collaboration with the Swiss Hotel Management School.

Apart from these, you are also expected to study Cost control, career development-related subjects and projects for a proper understanding of global hotel operations.
If you take the specialisation of International Business in Hotel, Resort and Wellness Management:
The course is conducted on the Leysin Campus in Switzerland.

Semester 2
Internship (Practical Experience)- Paid Internship
Internships are a key part of the course structure in which a student is expected to complete an internship of 4-6 months at a reputed hospitality establishment in Switzerland or in any other country as arranged by the institute.
Students can expect to earn a minimum of CHF 2100 per month during their internship in Switzerland.

An internship is arranged by Swiss Hotel Management Schools to help students learn by practical and earn while they learn. Especially for candidates from other industries, this can be a great experience to get a feeling of the hospitality industry.
Eligibility Criteria
You must have completed a Bachelor’s degree and/or should have 3+ years of supervisory experience for Masters in Arts.
You are also expected to be proficient in English (IELTS 5.5 and above or equivalent).
For International Hotel Business & Resort Management a Postgraduate Swiss Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
There are 3 intakes per year in February, September and November. It is advised to apply as early as possible due to the limited number of seats available.
