This Culinary Arts Program also provides training for careers in the culinary arts. This program is designed to teach students the knowledge and skills to be successful in their chosen field through hands-on practical training in the on-campus restaurant and kitchens, foodservice management courses and related skill development courses.
Course Overview and Content
This degree is a quality, professional program for students wishing to enter and/or advance in the field of culinary arts. If you are looking for an illustrious career, then this course would give you a proper foundation to excel in your trade. All students are taught during the course to master the fundamentals of cooking with an emphasis on hands-on preparation of various cuisines including basic cookery. Students who successfully complete this culinary arts degree are eligible to apply and receive Certified Culinarian status from the American Culinary Federation. This program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA). On completing this course, all students would be able to:
- Prepare recipes using basic cooking and baking techniques.
- Combine management skills with culinary skills to achieve a profit in a foodservice operation.
- Determine how to handle various types of food in order to prevent foodborne illness.
- Evaluate the execution of a menu from ordering to service.

Eligibility and more
All graduates of this course can pursue careers in foodservice such as prep cook, sous chef, pastry chef and executive chef, among many others. You need to have done your high schools to be eligible for this course. English communication skills are a pre-requisite to apply.
